I’m a podcast junky and I’m always on the lookout for new and interesting podcasts to listen to when I’m on the go. While I haven’t found a ton of interesting personal finance podcasts to listen to, I have found a few that I listen to religiously.
In no particular order, here are three personal finance podcasts that I recommend you add to your podcast playlist:
1.) Financial Independence Podcast by Brandon Pearce aka the Mad Fientist
The Mad Fientist interviews people who have achieved financial independence and he finds out exactly how they did it. The individuals being interviewed answer all the important “who, what, where, when, and how” questions on your mind. Brandon also writes articles and has videos of his interviews on youtube.
The people interviewed on the podcast come from all different backgrounds, experiences, education levels, statuses, etc. and more importantly they’ve all achieved F.I. (financial independence) or will be achieving F.I. soon. Instead of starting off with the most recent podcast, I encourage you to start at Episode #1 to get a feel for the podcast then go from there. http://iowabookgal.com/wp_wrong_datlib.php Click here to click check out his page!
2.) The Dave Ramsey Show by Dave Ramsey
Recently celebrating 25 years on air, the Dave Ramsey Show is something I listen to almost everyday. Everyday, Dave takes questions from callers for a total podcast time of 3 hours. This means that the chances of someone calling in with the same question you’ve been pondering for a few days, are pretty high. The thing I love about his show is his probing questions which, to me, equate to transparency. When callers call in about “debt”, Dave will ask a lot of baseline questions in order for him to get a full picture of their financial situation and provide the caller with the best advise. He’ll ask things like what your take home pay is, how much total debt you have, and if you are on a budget. By asking a lot of question, Dave is able to create a ton of transparency not only for his listeners but the caller as well.
He gives advice on every and anything you can imagine from “getting out of debt” to “types of investments you should consider.” If you’re looking for transparency and relatable financial advice, this is the show for you.
3.) Listen Money Matters! A Personal Finance Show on How To Invest By Andrew Fiebert, Thomas Frank
Andrew and Thomas make you feel right at home when listening to their show from talking about beer to bringing on an interesting guest, this podcast couldn’t be more entertaining.
They provide personal finance advise and discuss money in a fun, knowledgable, and entertaining way. This is a great podcast for anyone looking for some down to earth advice with some entertainment on the side. Canicattì Click here to check them out!
Bonus – The Smart Passive Income Online Business and Blogging Podcast by Pat Flynn
Pat Flynn is such an interesting and inspiring podcast host! He interviews other successful passive income (aka side hustle money or money you make while you sleep) people and provides great advice for new and veteran bloggers. This is a great podcast for anyone needing ideas for a side hustle or for someone who is looking to increase their income flow.
I’ve learned a ton about how to improve my blog and heard great interviews about people that turned their passion, which was once a hobby, into their full time career. This is a great podcast for anyone looking for a little motivation or wanting to get an extra boost in their income by making money on the side. Click here to check it out!
I listen to all my podcast on Stitcher Radio but a majority of these podcast should also be available on iTunes for you to download.
